for nearly the entire twenty years that kat and elisa have been friends they have worked and traveled throughout the world together in search of adventure, excitement and enrichment. through the years they periodically discussed eventually owning a business together that would afford world travel and a modest income to keep them happy and fulfilled professionally. some time in 1996 they were buying some jewelry (as most girls do) at the grand bazaar in istanbul, when a couple of men asked for their opinion about some jewelry they were purchasing to sell in their small shop. the four got talking about how the gentlemen started their business and what it entailed. their parting words to kat and elisa were “just do it”!!!!!! hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, where have you heard that before?

kat and elisa walked away and talked about how they believed they were meant to meet those two gentlemen on that day. they continued their wonderful journey through turkey but kept coming back to those words. upon their return to the united states each woman quickly fell back into the day-to-day routine of life, love and the pursuit of happiness. a couple of years later kat moved back to philadelphia from san francisco where she grew up and began teaching in public school. elisa moved from san francisco to london to work for an architecture firm. their lives were full but conversations continued to return to the ever present topic of their own business. kat was looking for a career change and although elisa loved living in london and flitting around europe on the weekends there was still something HUGE missing. They both decided to “just do it” and truly pursue opening their own business. flash forward four years, the dream becomes reality and they couldn’t be happier.
